Macy Gray - Smoke Two Joints + Creep (Covers)

Macy Gray - Smoke Two Joints + Creep (Covers)

Grammy Award-winning R&B and soul artist Macy Gray has a brand new single called “Two Joints”. It’s from her soon-to-be-released new album “Covered”, a collection of cover versions including this one originally by The Toyes (often mistaken for Bob Marley), which has previously been covered by Norman Nardini as well as Sublime.

To be quite honest it can sometimes be a little hard to get excited for an album full of covers. It all pretty much depends on the artist who will be covering the songs and the uniqueness that they can bring to the tracks they plan on covering. Luckily for us, you really can’t get any more unique than Macy Gray. And as far as track selection goes you really can’t get a more eclectic mix of music than you will on Macy’s upcoming Covered album due out March 27th. With songs ranging from “Wake Up” by Arcade Fire to Kanye West’s “Love Lockdown” to “Teenagers” by My Chemical Romance and even “Here Comes The Rain Again” by The Eurythmics, it’s hard to imagine that this album won’t be entertaining as hell.
