Rihanna’s Sheer, Sexy Da Silvano Big Apple Dinner


After jetting into town earlier in the day, Rihanna got settled into her hotel before heading out for a dinner on the town in New York City on Sunday night (March 11).
Putting her provocative ways on display, the 24-year-old gave onlookers quite the view while clad in a sheer black knitted sweater, ripped blue jeans and tan Timberland boots as she headed into one of her favorite Big Apple eateries, Da Silvano.
Having made her way to NYC after performing at the Brad Pitt hosted New Orleans fundraiser “A Night to Make It Right,” Radar Online reports that RiRi was asked by shutterbugs at the airport to share her thoughts on MTV reality star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi’s pregnancy.
Without w minute’s thought, the “We Found Love” singer gave her stamp of approval, as she replied, “That’s dope. We need more Snookis in the world!

According to Variety with no specific details given, Tom Cruise is the latest name being rumored to play opposite Beyonce in Clint Eastwood‘s remake of A Star is Born.
When Beyonce became pregnant in 2011, the film was put on hold. Now that a few months have gone by since giving birth to a girl, Beyonce is back in the mix of doing films, having signed on to appear with Gwyneth Paltrow, Reese Witherspoon, and Cameron Diaz in Ryan Murphy’s musical, ‘ One Hit Wonders.’
Cruise is the latest amongst Hollywood’s leading men to be courted for the ‘A Star is Born’. The last name tossed around came in June 2011 when Deadline reported that Leonardo DiCaprio was in the running. 
The story about a an famed aging, alcoholic musician who mentors/is schooled by and then finds romance with a younger female star was first done in 1937 with Janet Gaynor and Fredric March. Judy Garland and James Mason starred in the 1954 remake, and Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson were in the 1976 version.

Viola Davis to Produce and Star in Barbara Jordan Biopic



Variety reports that Viola Davis (‘The Help,’ ‘Doubt’) is teaming with veteran TV director Paris Barclay to develop a biopic of African-American political pioneer Barbara Jordan.
Davis will produce the film with her husband Julius Tennon, via their JuVee production banner along with Barclay, and producers Shelly Glasser and Diane Nabatoff. The actress is believed to be eyeing the project as a starring vehicle.
Penned by Paris Qualles and based on the biography ‘Barbara Jordan: American Hero,’ by Mary Beth Rogers, the film will celebrate the remarkable life and career of the eminent Texas orator, legislator and teacher, who was Texas’ first African-American woman state senator. 
Jordan, the first African American woman from the South to be elected to Congress (serving from 1973 to 1979), also became the first African-American woman to deliver the keynote address at a Democratic National Convention in 1976.

Angela Bassett and Nip/Tuck alum Julian McMahon are in final negotiations to co-star in Fox’s untitled Karyn Usher drama pilot.
Written by Usher and directed by Brett Ratner, the project centers on Jane Forsythe (Saxon Sharbino), the orphaned 14-year-old daughter of a CIA operative who encounters a mysterious rogue agent (McMahon) who serves as her surrogate father and professional mentor in the spy world. Bassett will play the calculating and political director of the CIA who takes Jane under her wing.
Bassett’s last appearance on a TV series was when she played Dr. Cate Banfield on ER in 2009.
Bassett just finished a critically praised run on Broadway in The Mountaintop opposite Samuel L. Jackson. For McMahon, this is the first TV role since his seven-year stint on FX’s Nip/Tuck. The Karyn Usher pilot is produced by 20th Century Fox TV and 21 Laps/Adelstein.

Smiling from  ear-to-ear, Rihanna was all smiles after touching down in New York City on Sunday afternoon (March 11).
The 24-year-old Barbadian beauty graciously stopped to sign a few autographs while passing through the terminal at LaGuardia Airport and heading out to an awaiting ride.
Having flown into the Big Apple from New Orleans, RiRi tweeted her happiness over the return trip to NYC by writing, “On my way to my fav city!”
Once arrived, the “We Found Love” singer tweeted, “Concrete, cabs, fly b****es, Caribbean food” while adding “Soooo d**n pretty here today! #LilMissSunshine”

Jennifer Hudson Helps Open Up The Smith Center


Singing her heart out while showing off her thin bod, Jennifer Hudson performed at the opening night of The Smith Center for the Performing Arts in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday (March 10).
The bright red lipped “American Idol” alum wore a glistening black dress with lace on top as she took the stage while backed by a 70-member choir to close out the show with a rendition of “Take Care of This House.”
With Neil Patrick Harris hosting the festivities, other acts taking the stage during the course of the celebratory fete included country star Martina McBride and Train lead singer Pat Monahan, who teamed up for a medley featuring “Marry Me” and “A Song For You,” as well as Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard. who treated the audience to a “Pancho and Lefty” duet.
Commenting on the successful show, Myron Martin, President and CEO of The Smith Center, told press, “Tonight we celebrated more than the opening of The Smith Center. We celebrated this community’s commitment to the arts and to creating something important and lasting for the people who live here and for generations to come.”

After the recent tragic death of her mother Whitney Houston, Bobbi Kristina Brown is looking to change her legal name.
According to a report by TMZ, the singing icon’s daughter despises her last name because of the association it has with her father, Bobby Brown.
The report tells that Bobbi has reportedly told her friends that she has contemplated the name change since her parents split, but has yet to do so because her mom preferred she stick with Brown.
But, now that Whitney is no longer with us, the 19-year-old is hoping to switch up her legal name to Kristina Houston.
Though there is no definitive plans on when the change will happen, friends say Bobbi Kristina is in a “better place” and has made the decision with a clear and positive mind.

Fast forward two months and now we have an official answer, as Martinez confirmed on Saturday (March 10) that he and the Oscar-winning actress are, indeed, engaged to be married!
While on-hand for the grand opening of his new South Beach restaurant Villa Azur, the French actor was asked by Miami.com if the engagement claims were for real, to which he replied, “Yes, of course it’s true!”
